Ubuntu start to enable everything. Re-started gone into the windows
killed it, rebooted into Ubuntu and no change it goes into
initramfs/busybox.

I think I'm lowering the issue down. If I use the onboard S3 graphic I

Actually I've done a fresh upgrade with English only FF2 on gutsy and no
FF2 in the hardy upgrade. It only happens when you add language packs
to FF2.

On my laptop which is the 8400M machine if I run in 64bit I get no
splash which is why I run 32bit on it.
In 32 bit there is no problems everything displays fine. It is only in
64 bit land where I get those issues.

Seb after today's 5/02/08 update the tar.gz file now works fine.
However the .ogg files are now unreadable. I'll try again on Kubuntu
and let you know if they have been corrupted but the player itself can
still play the files so i'm guessing they are fine.

Seb yes this is still a fault. I have two pen drives one is a samsung
(ogg supporting player) the other a usb pendrive. I can't copy all the
ogg files off the one drive or the complete tar.gz of the other. It
just stops about 1/2- 2/3 through. Both drives are a 1Gb.

I have noticed that my existing podcast link for high ogg of lugradio is

I thought I would comment and bug report on the new gvfs system in place
in nautilus.
+ audio preview works again :)
+ Much faster on my 64bit system (I mean much faster too 20 minutes to back my
files up to another drive 8 minutes to get them
The fix came in this morning. Not entirely sure which one did it :) But it
has now installed (and I'm happy again)
Telepathy Idle is now functioning too.

unreliable.
I have upgraded my main pc to hardy for testing purposes. So I
completely wiped my system did a standard install formating the entire

Most of the new empathy rocks :). However I've noticed that if you
select to show off-line contacts and then select browse by status that
the off-line contacts are placed before the on-line ones meaning you
either need to stop showing off-line
