Public bug reported:
I am just installing Ubuntu 15.04.2 (amd64) in parallel on a Dell
computer. The computer has a Dell-whatevertool-partition (primary) and
two more primary System partitions used by Windows 7. When I selected
the default option to install Ubuntu in parallel, I got the "Error!!!"
Sorry, I cannot test that computer any more, as I got rid of it. I was
tired of fighting with the bad linux support and - additionally - the
bad quality of the hardware itself.

Same here, Karmic Alpha 6. I didn't have any problems/errors intalling
Karmic, but in the grub.cfg the uuid for Jaunty was set to Karmic's
uuid. When I updated Karmic today, the manually corrected entry was
overwritten with the wrong uuid again.

Removing /etc/gshadow.lock manually and running 'sudo /usr/sbin/useradd
