Fresh installed Kubuntu 8.04 KDE4 version on Thinkpad T60p. wireless
module is Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Mini-PCI Express Adapter. booting
into KDE, knetworkmanager doesn't show any wireless devices available.
However do ifconfig and iwconfig does show wlan interface is up. and
modprobe iwl3945
hi I have same problem here, after I messed up menu, I tried use alacarte to
restore default menu and meet the following error:

Ok, thanks, that is helpful. However, it doesn't solve the problem of
ubuntu distro if is is no currently in official repository. I hope it
can be get into official repository sooner Or firefox startup script can
be improved to check different environment to make options setting
properly.

Hi Liu Qishuai, My ubuntu7.10 is up to date but still has problem, the
only package I didn't upgrade is libcairo2 which cause problem. Do you
mean I need manually upgrade wqy package (not via apt-get? )

ubuntu 7.10 with Chinese fonts and msttcorefonts installed. after this upgrade,
all applications window including title bar, maximize, minimize close icons
disappeared. downgrade package:
sudo apt-get install libcairo2=1.4.10-1ubuntu4

1. With ATI restricted driver fglrx 8.37.6, Laptop cannot enter suspend mode.
(crescent moon flashing, computer hang up, blank screen)
2. disable ATI restricted driver, xorg has vesa as generic

I had seam problem, when I try to backup my usb disk into my home linux machine
and also synchronise with company windows machine. You can work around by
following method. Find your profile name for example : in ~/.unison/default.prf
add the following line (parameters):
