On arm natty, xfdesktop4 from a linar alip build dated 4/13.
It's as if there are multiple copies of xfdesktop running, however a ps
aux | grep desktop shows only one process.

I installed the arm packages at http://people.canonical.com/~ogra/natty-
omap4-pulse/ onto the linaro ubuntu-desktop image and booted on a beagle
C4, still no audio. (I did check the levels in alsamix, looks ok) I also
booted this same image on a beagle Xm. Again no audio.

By root_wait=5, does that mean it'll wait at most 5 seconds for the
rootfs before failing should the root fs not be found? Or am I perhaps
confusing rootwait? I see rootwait in Documentation/kernel-

This just showed up when running the ALIP image dated 03102011 on a
beagle C4 using the omap3-x11 hwpack dated 03102011.
The moment the mapdss DISPC error: GFX_FIFO_UNDERFLOW, disabling GFX
unsuprisingly the graphical session disappeared from ALIP.

If by awkward you mean to say that PPAs can no longer be used with
germinate when the seed uses more than just the main component.
For linaro, the impact that I see is we'll have to either fork germinate
(yuck!) or setup our own archive for content that is now found in PPAs.

From the pictured state in #32 using the 12-16 headless if on a fresh
boot, you Ctrl-Alt-F1 it does bring up tty1 on the beagle C4. You won't

On my beagle XM, there is a cons on the tty as well as the serial as
you'd expect. BUT and I guess I should raise this as a different bug,
the cursor is one line down from where it should be (and where test
shows up when typed) further the cursor is not solid but stripped where
solid white row of
retested on my beagle xm Rev A2 with the Nov 8th #2 build and 11-09
hwpack for omap3.
The bug as reported does not occur. However the cursor is one line
further down then where text shows up as keys are pressed. Further the
cursor is a square with a zebra pattern of horizontal white, then black,
still busted with 2.6.35-22

Binary package hint: rhythmbox
On attempting to start Rhythmbox, the program icon appears then
disappears. Running the program via the terminal results in the
following output

There is another problem: I'd like to hide my login name from the
applet. It just eats space on the panel. I found no option to do that.
No Preferences or something.
