I also have the problem with loosing the image editor menu bar when
opening a second time. Problem is seen with 5.5. and appimage 5.6.
Workaround (inconvenient): Go to right border and select extra in order
to access to tools.
Restarting digikam also helps ;)

I upgraded my ubuntu 17.04 on 23 of August to the newest version of
everything. It was running on kernel 4.10.0.32 and has an rx 480. After
the upgrade, I rebooted once and unlocking the screen took realy long
(before it was about 2 seconds, after the reboot about 5 minutes).
It seems like I experienced a similiar error with Ubuntu 17.04 (with i5
3400 and RX 480). I wanted to re-login after the screen was locked. For
more than a minute, I could not move the mouse nor switch from x
environment to terminal or something like this. After some time,
everything just worked

had the same issue. fonts-roboto-hinted was already installed. I tried
adding fonts-roboto (didn't solve it) and then fonts-roboto-fontface and
fonts-roboto-unhinted. That did the trick. My guess is it's fonts-
roboto-fontface, but I did not check that. Problem solved.

Sorry, I should add: Other places suggest that you should disallow site-
specific fonts in your preferences (preferences -> content -> advanced).
That solves the issue too, but I'd find that solution unsatisfactory.

I can confirm segfaults after updating the kernel to 3.13.0-59 on
various 64 Bit machines. Its related to shelling out commands from 32
bit executables. In my case its a proprietary program, but its

when having selected German as the language, the system states that a hard disk
of at least 6.6 GB is required. However, in German the decimal separator is
