Hi Jeremy.
I really can't give you a satisfactory reply because I am not using that
Averatec laptop anymore. I did away with it because it seemed
incompatible with Ubuntu on too many points for comfort.
Best,
Henry

Yes, it is probably best to forget about this bug, even though it
actually happened. I still have some similar experiences with the same
laptop, Averatec H3225 where for v. 9.10 installation of downloaded

I cannot even try to install v. 9.04 on this machine because I need to
use ndiswrapper as well and that has been depricated by Ubuntu!
I just must be satisfied with what I have!
Sorry again,

Hello Teej.
I installed 8.04 LTS on my Averatec 3225H by first installing 6.06 LTS
and then upgrading. It's a long way.
I COULD NOT do a direct install. There is an extensive Q and A about
install problem of 8.04 on an Averatec 3200-series computer here:

Thank you for your courtesy.
I just love my Ubuntu Linux.

Following suggestions made by various users, some were able to overcome
the problem, others were not. I imagine that the difference lies in the
router, i.o.w. there seems to be a router-code interaction failure.
