0.7.5 is out now. Would be nice to see emelFM2 packaged in Ubuntu.
Version 0.4.1 is very, very old since the app has much evolved since.

This is a nasty looking bug indeed! And quite irresponsible from
Canonical to continue shipping this bug. A 10.10.1 would have been a
wiser decision.
Luckily I was already alert that Ubuntu could ship data-loss installer
bugs (faulty grub or mbr, etc.) so I take special care to first check
out the
Bug fixed upstream in v1.0.0.

- there's is also a ppa repo for handbrake, but unfortunately without the GTK
version and a bit dated

- ogmrip is not a perfect substitute. It is OK for dealing with DVD sources,
but it cannot handle simple multimedia files
Would it help that debian-multimedia already provides Handbrake packages
in its repo?

OK, I see. Thanks for sharing the info. After several 'tlmgr' searches
on Google, Launchpad and Brainstorm didn't reveal much other than this
bug and the idea, I felt compelled to raise the noise. Apparently it was
already too loud.
