the disabling of the unity launcher when it "detects" an unsupported
data type is just not usable in practise, theoretically it may be useful
but bossing users around is not what a good interface should actually
do! In my usecase, "drag and drop a selecteed text content to another

I'm considering moving to KDE because of this, the expo is so slow! I
can't wait that much for switching a window plus I cant dig around the
whole screen for a window, seems Unity is stable and all but this is a
huge no no plus I dont need another dock or something to manage windows!

I'll test the newest mainline and post the results. Because oneric got
frozen I thought of going back to natty, now even a stock natty
installation freezes. I think the cause for this is a BIOS update that I
did while I was on natty some time ago. The update was proposing a fix
for a windows driver

2.6.35-22 amd64 all have the same problem the notebook runs stable for a
while(and the time that it runs stable has increased in newer kernels) and then

This bug springs up randomly(I am not sure from where this comes up, I
went through syslog, kern.log, and xorg.log). The screen suddenly goes
to a terminal(like the one you get with ctrl+alt+Fn) and the mouse is
visible it hangs at this point, I have to reboot to recover from
I have an Asus K42Jc(Intel Core i5 430M, with nVidia optimus) and I get only
intel ips :00:1f.6: failed to get i915 symbols, graphics turbo disabled
at the terminal screen on startup then the login loads, compiz works
fine. But graphics performance is slow.
