Hi,
I have a weird config which show a problem where Xinerama is 'cloning' displays
rather than using 'right of' for the second screen. If I swap the arrangement
of the screens it behaves properly.

Yes, as far a I know. This machine has the Xubuntu Feisty beta -
downloaded on April 2, 2007. The packages are apt-get'ed to the latest.

Hi.
On a Feisty daily (12Apr2007) with ATI Radeon 7000 Dual Head
(http://www.vfxweb.com/index.php?productid=10506), but only one monitor
connected. Compiz appears to get confused about screen width.
I have a 1280x1024 X session running XFCE.

Hi,
Actually droping X depth to 16 bit seems to make the problem go away
however I've manage to stuff the system somehow, in that I don't have a window
manager started with Compiz.
I guess I'll have to either have to find what been broken, or re-install (which
might be quicker).
Simon.

Hi again.
Just to confirm, dropping screen depth to 16 bits works OK (i.e. full witdth).
The window manager problems were due (I think) to a corrupt GCONF.
When in 24bit, I attempted to solve this through DRICONF but was unable to find
any settings which prevented the problem occuring.

Binary package hint: cdrecord
Hi,
Using a recent daily (12apr2007) of Xubuntu, both XFburn and cdrecord fail to
burn a CD - attempting to create a copy of the RC to test ;-)
here's the message from cdrecord

Tried with alternative (external USB) CD writer and that appears to have
worked. Will try internal again once I've install release candidate.
