I can confirm the fix.
Copy the .so files from skype4pidgin.deb (#deb/CONTENTS/usr/lib/purple-2) to
/usr/lib/purple-2 and the plugin starts working again.

I don't now, if there is a connection, but i commented out the lines in
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-cd.rules
After a reboot (the new lines in 70-persistent-cd.rules are same as the

I confirm the bug is in package libspectre1.
Downgrade it from 0.2.2.ds-1 (jaunty) to 0.2.0.ds-1build3 (intrepid) makes

I found the new dialogs In the system menu, now there is three menus:
Lock screen, Logout and shudown. There is nothin wrong with that, but
when i press the computer power button, why the logout dialog is shown?

I had the same problem tonight. I googled, and found nothin'. It seemed
the problem serious. Tried to stace gdm and see, the connection start...
To be short: installed bind, and ... magic ... gdm works.

it was an up to date Hardy as server the clients:
- another hardy with X -query and Xnest: both ok now.
- debian 4.0 with X -query and Xvnc4: both ok now.
- some Wyse thin client with a linux (unknown version) they are not working
yet.
the wyse clients not work with kdm
Until real fix it would be nice if disabled were the default for this
plugins.

I've installed the version from edgy-proposed. Now locking works for me. A
small issue: invoking Package/Lock from some search results it resets the
search criteria (or the window), i'd restart the search with selecting [search]
and [ok] again.
