I saw a few comments above related to libnozzle test suite not being
executed. Due to the nature of libnozzle, the test suite has to be
executed as root unfortunately. The ioctl required to manage tap devices
are privileged only.

(including PIM1 and PIM2) are not enabled in the hardy kernel.

Well... if I remove all config about eth0 in /etc/network/interfaces, the
network-manager applet in gnome says: Device is unmanaged under wired network.
But the Ethernet network works perfectly.
Using ifconfig the eth0 interface is well configured (right IP address and
default gateway).
If I

The system does not recognize the wired connection.
So, if I want to use the cable I need to un-comment the two rows.

I did some more test on my machine.
The problem disappears it the visual effects are set to 'none'.
I even tried to set the effects to none, then log-off and log-on again (the
system log-on perfectly without black-screen, ALT-F1 etc..) and re-activate the
visual effects, normal or extra. Once
I'm quite off-topic in this bug and I apologize in advance.
I'd like to know if anybody experienced any trouble with the new nvidia 180

Hi I updated today the nvidia driver from version 177 to 180, this in order to
solve an other bug.
Since I upgraded the nvidia drivers I have the same bug.
After the login the screen became black, I can hear the login sound etc, I can
left click with the mouse on the screen (and after discover

A workaround that worked for me was to comment the following two lines
on the file /etc/network/interfaces
#iface eth0 inet dhcp
#auto eth0
I cannot check if this disables the lan interface because I'm using only a
wireless connection.

I'm not sure the b764a15f679942a7bc9d4f9645299e1defcc5b43 is the last good
before the bad one. Because when I performed the bisection, after the last bad,
the process started jumping forth and back in the kernel version, also to the
2.6.26rc2 (I sow it from the created file names).
I have some trouble recovering the section from a suspend but this
problem come from other things and I had no time to look for a solution.
Maybe you computer enters in suspension after some time of inactivity.
You can disable this behavior or search for a solution of the problem
(and if you find
specific regarding the version with git?

The problem was in the file places.sqlite of my profile.
I fixed the problem substituting the file with an other one from a new fresh
profile.
I don't know where is the corruption inside the file, I attach it if somebody
want to analyze it.
Anyway, this substitution fixed the problem.

I am against including this package into main but i need to file the
report as I was asked too. IMHO this package requires too much
maintaince and it's not mature enough to hit main.

Matthias, I can confirm this problem too and part of the solution is to
copy libpcre3 i386 into /usr/lib32.
I can also see another regression with vmware-server:

this is the dapper patch based on the others. It's still impossible to
cherry pick without solving lots of conflicts.
You want to notice these small differences compared to the other
patches:

the situation in edgy is way simpler. We disabled gfs2 that is the only
in kernel client for fs/dlm.
The patch simply disable fs/dlm as it is not required. It is _not_ worth
spending time fixing it at all.
