On my LG X110, the device is listed as:
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0bdb:1902 Ericsson Business Mobile Networks BV
Which differs from the product id of 1900 is in the current kernel source tree.
When adding the 1902 ID, ttyUSB* are registered but NetworkManager won't see it.

Ericsson F3507g WWAN
Installed Jaunty Alpha 4 today, still no go.
Anything specific I need to do to get it running?
In Jaunty, the card isn't even listed in Network Manager.
However, /dev/ttyACM[012] are present.

Ericsson F3507g WWAN Card doesn't work with NetworkManager
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/287893
Public bug reported:
Ericsson WWAN F3507G card has GPS capabilities and should be somehow supported
in Ubuntu.
I tried the instructions from:
http://www.nabble.com/Re%3A-X301-Ericsson-Modul-f3507g-AT-Command-
reference-p20175436.html
But they didn't work.
** Affects: ubuntu
Importance:
Updated to Network Manager 0.7.0 from the PPA today, but still can't get it to
work.
I don't know if this is true for everyone, but at least I get 3 entries for the
modem in the menu. (ttyACM[012] as reported by the logs)
Two of them fails at once and one of them gets a initialization timeout
Hmm, if I LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so cheese
I get:
libv4l2: error requesting 4 buffers: Invalid argument
on startup and
libv4l2: error converting / decoding frame data: v4l-convert: error
destination buffer too small
when changing resolutions
--
needed: libv4l and associated
After upgrading to 0.5.6, skype still works but I lost the 176x144 resolution
in cheese.
When changing resolution in cheese, it doesn't freeze with higher resolutions
like it used to, but instead I get:
libv4l2: error allocating conversion buffer
--
needed: libv4l and associated application
With ASUS USB2.0 webcam (0458:705a), skype works with the libv4l -
0.5.3-1~dooz1 and ekiga works and worked before installing it.
However in cheese, I can only use resolutions 160x120 and 176x144, but
not the other listed resolutions 320x240, 352x288, 640x480, 1280x1024.
Intrepid 8.10, AMD64.
I can also confirm this.
This is the end of the output from strace:
rename(/home/nomego/.config/tracker/tracker-applet.cfg.9AU4KU,
/home/nomego/.config/tracker/tracker-applet.cfg) = 0
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++
I couldn't see that file being created
After copying the related parts from waldeck's Xorg.conf, fullscreen
XVideo works in Compiz.
Thanks!

Public bug reported:
After configuring PAM to use libfprint for authentication, Update
Manager simply waits for a finger to be swiped before continuing.
A better integration with PAM would be nice to display some information
to the user that a fingerswipe is expected.
** Affects: update-manager
Public bug reported:
When resuming the computer from suspended state, libpam-fprint says (through

If I press escape and then some key to re-activate the unlock dialog, the
device is found.
Don't really know which package that
I easily got my Authentec working with the hardy backported libpam-
fprint, but making it supported and accounted for by Ubuntu itself would
be a great feature for Intrepid.
What I would like to see is a user-friendly enrollment application which
modifies the pam-configuration upon completion.
I can just confirm this, wouldn't have solved it as fast without this
bugreport - thanks!

Work is being done on improving video playback.
Until the optimized Xv-driver is ready, I've put up a page on how to get
an optimized video output in mplayer (with debs) on
http://linux.yes.nu/PS3Ubuntu
This should enable you to play most but not h.264 smoothly in 1080p.

I turned EXA off and it seems to work better when I don't use desktop effects.
But desktop effects (compiz?) is really buggy. Window contents not being drawn,
etc, etc.
So this is an upstream driver bug?
