No, I don't think so.
It is certainly still there in the current scilab-5.4.0-alpha-1.
I think the bug is in mesa 7.11, not scilab. I can personally confirm
that it fails for scilab-5.1, 5.2.0, 5.3.3 and 5.4.0-alpha1 with
mesa-7.11 and that all of those work with mesa-7.10. Apparently they
work

5.4.0alpha and the beta? I've a very nice new shiny laptop, but with an
intel card, scilab 5 is always a pain. I'm still using scilab-4.1.2 for

I have what I believe is a related problem in Maverick xubuntu.
My incoming call alert cannot be heard while everything else can.
I think this is because skype uses some system-wide alert sound system
to play the sound, which you can apparently change in the Ubuntu alert
sound settings

From linux 2.6.36-rc4, Realtek's own r8712u has been cleaned up and put
in staging. Backported to my 2.6.32-25 this works fine for my rtl8192su,
and the firmware is built in. From their TODO file, the kernel people
plan to put that into the proper firmware system which
I have a RTL8191SU on Ubuntu 10.03 (lucid) 64-bit.
The ~80kB RTL8192SE firmware loads and I can scan but association does not work.
The ~67kB RTL8192SU firmware from svn.debian... /firmware-nonfree/... lets me
connect and it mostly works.
The latter does however seem to stop the connection

This was using the eclipse packages from the main lucid repository.

(That also got rid of libswt-gtk-3.5-java, which never came back)

I am also seeing this crash in Xubuntu 9.10 Karmic on my laptop (amd64
HP nc6320 with intel 945GM graphics) but not on my desktop (also amd64

It also occurs if you enable TCP access to the xserver, set DISPLAY on
another machine and use the hardy X-server directly.
