I tried testing again with the newest Ubuntu liveCD, and at least in
that environment it works correctly. And the wifi reconnects much more
quickly too. It's looking more likely that this is some strange quirk
of my system which has been upgraded a few times and may have some bad
config hiding

* Have laptop plugged in by AC
* Close lid
* Remove AC
* Wait for suspend.
* Open lid, leave AC unplugged.
* Wait several seconds, laptop resuspends
The best workaround is disabling suspend-on-lid-close.

Another thing that seems related: it used to be that I could close the
lid with AC plugged in, and the laptop wouldn't suspend (that's how I
have it set). Then, if I removed the AC power, it still wouldn't
suspend. Now, if I remove power it does seem to check that the lid is
closed and it

I seem to be seeing a very similar issue on 12.04LTS after taking the

I have a slightly modified tarball that might build more easily. Can
you try it and see if it works better? I really need to get the
packaging process working much better, sorry about this.

at /etc/uif/uif6.conf, setting IPV6MODE=1 in
/etc/default/uif and then loading the rules with /etc/init.d/uif
start.
If you wish me to produce a debdiff patch specifically for the ubuntu
package I will see what I can do.

This bug causes fullscreen mode to be almost useless for me. Whether
it's the clock, window list, or workspace pager, my panel comes back
almost instantly after I trigger fullscreen mode

VLC 2.0.1 doesn't seem to have the facility to scan for DVB-T channels.
Just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 with new version of VLC, but unable to use
TV card. Is there some new feature that should be used? Has support
for TV cards ended in VLC?
