I'm assuming that the code added to the /usr/lib/pm-
utils/power.d/wireless will have the same effect as iwconfig command.
This will solve the issue. Unfortunately I have notice that the power-
management is not able to estimate correctly the remaining power on
battery which in effect is not
I think database entry for kdm was corrupted. Solution was:
'sudo apt-get install kdm'
'sudo apt-get remove kdm'
'sudo apt-get -f install'
This was not a bug of kdebase-workspace. It might be a dpkg bug. Forget
it.

Touchpad works great after doing Carl walk-through on RF510. Driver module
should now compile and install when new kernel will be installed - am I right?

Just notice a symptom when unplugging AC power an gnome-power-manager is
reacting in proper way so is showing a proper time to discharge the battery
(not the 0:02) then the wifi is working as connected to the AC.

Just to add more there no network issue. It looks like the responses on
battery for network are very slow. Attaching tcpdum output with no AC
power connected. I have a tcpdump gathered during the same download with
AC power connected which in the same time gathered over 3000 packets.

I tried this import under python2.7 installed from packages provided in Natty,
and bug is not present, so it's only issue in Maverick.

I had a similar problem today when running *any* LVM tool, including
vgbackup/restore, so I was basically unable to do anything with the LVM
subsystem. The error message was:

I'd suggest not to wait for an official fix, which is expected in April,
2011, but to fix it yourself.
My solution:
- grab libexiv2-9 and libexiv2-dev from Debian testing (current version is
0.20-2) and install them,
- get source packages for kdegraphics and rebuild them,
- install the rebuild
