Today I tried "CuteSpotify" (the other application, Spotify Unofficial,
seems to no longer work). Previously, one or two releases ago, I tried
to listen to radio stations with the browser, with the same result.

In gnome 1.3.0+6ubuntu3 (ubuntu 12.04), pressing Print Screen key no
longer displays the Save screenshot window. There is only a flash and
nothing happens. The same applies to calling gnome-screenshot from the
terminal. The save window cannot be displayed by other means than
It seems to be *not related* to xorg, but to Gnome sound system.
After disabling Terminal Bell in Gnome Terminal, the terminal works as
expected. There is an ALSA sink on my computer, which is not always
ready (bluetooth) and perhaps, Gnome waits for it instead of launching
the sound
