There's definitely something flaky about nautilus/ubuntu's handling of
.theme files - I need to edit .theme files for my Drupal installation
and every time I click on them in Nautilus comes up with an error:
Couldn't display /blah/blah/blah the location is not a folder. Indeed it
isn't a folder...
KSquirrel and Intrepid
As said KSquirrel needs libkonq4 (and libkonq4-dev to build).
Workaround:
Dropping kdebase (4:3.5.10-0ubuntu1) to the PPA => libkonq4 + libkonq4-dev for
Intrepid.
After this, it is possible to build and have KSquirrel in the Intrepid.

I'm experiencing this issue also. The upgrade is still running, and
only libpam0g, libpam_modules and login have failed so far. Not sure
how it's a duplicate of #134858, there's no mention of 'libpam0g' the
slgui output with jack running, but no engine running yet:

I dist-upgraded last night (via a live CD), and booted with the irqpoll
option this morning and the network card is now working. Not an ideal
workaround, but I'm happier for it.
This also resolved my SATA disk issue as per bug 78288, so it seems my issue is
around interrupts in 2.6.20, the 2.6.1
I'm having the same problem too (booting an IDE disk, but the separate
SATA disk is complaining, same as comment 8 above

This happens for me too since upgrading to feisty (kernel 2.6.20-8), on
a machine with an RL-8139 onboard NIC. The one major difference is that
the behaviour always happens and occurs immediately on boot up.

An alternative for those who don't actually have RAID or lvm2 partitions
is to apt-get remove mdadm lvm2 , then run update-initramfs -u -k all
Just a thought. My recently upgraded feisty system still has some major
issues, but at least it boots now. :)

I had the same problem. When I ran apt-get install -f, it highlighted the
problem:

It wasn't broken, I don't see why it was "fixed", and why so many users
of a known feature had to file or find bug reports to discover it. This
is precisely the sort of thing that ticks off Joe Average as well as
power users. Consistency should be considered a far more important
priority, IMHO.
I'm experiencing this problem also, since upgrading from dapper to edgy.
I have to kill -9 the beagled-helper process to get rid of it, and it
comes back later unless beagle is shutdown.
