balls moved at a more leisurely speed. In the current version 1:3.32.2 the
balls are moving very fast. Could the former behaviour be restored, please?

1) In an emtpy directory type "touch a b; mkdir x"
2) Do: "ls -l"
3) Then: "export LC_COLLATE=C"
4) Again: "ls -l"
5) Expected was that directories are outputted first but nothing changes.

If I need to prevent my users from using an usb-stick I tried to use the recipe
found in
http://askubuntu.com/questions/153964/how-do-i-prevent-standard-users-from-using-the-usb-ports.
Unfortunately it did not work. After plugging in an usb-stick the module gets
loaded
When I tried this workaround I realised that it indeed works, *but* after
plugging in the headphones both the headphones and the loudspeakers in the
laptop are enabled.
Has anybody a better idea what to do?

parsing the /etc/gshadow information. It is fixed in Debian, see their bug
