Sorry for the delay. While testing the applied patch in fresh Ubuntu
15.04 machine, the issue seems to be half fixed and can be still
reproduced. After comparing the setup with old Ubuntu system, I found
that, while debugging I added RUN{builtin}+=uaccess entry in
56-hpmud.rules file,

1)Run in terminal : $ lsusb
(It will display one device as Hewlett-Packard.)
e.g. Bus 001 Device 002: ID 03f0:002a Hewlett-Packard
2) Now Run in teminal : $ lsusb -d
2) $ lsusb -d 03f0:002a -v | grep bNumInterfaces(where
03f0:002a is VendorID:ProductID. Replace ProductID with correct value)

Hello Avis,
Thanks for the update. In order to install hpcups, cups should be
preinstalled and the service should be running while installing from the
auto installer. PLease install cups from the repositery and the run
following commands.
1) Remove hplip and hplip-hpijs (if present) from distro
Thanks for the reply Avis. Looks like you are not using hpcups ppd.
PLease install latest HPLIP release (HPLIP 3.11.10) and use hpcups ppd.
If issues are not resolved then please let me know.

not be the latest one as well as it might not have all the dependencies

=Remove all the print queues as follows:
-Open terminal and the run hp-toolbox command
- Press on (-) button and then select all entries and press Remove.
=Add new print queue with PS ppd selection.

Thanks for the observations. No special changes were done in HPLIP
after 3.11.1 release for HP Color LaserJet 35xx/36xx printers. The only
patch which was applied was for ghostscript 9.0 issue and which should
not affact above mentioned printers as they don't use RGBW

It looks like you are trying to print a secure pdf in linux.
Unfortunately secure/encrypted pdf printing is not supported by CUPS
(HPLIP uses cups) currently. Please try to convert the pdf to non secure

Please do the following to capture some logs to help us understand the issue.
a)Open /etc/cups/cupsd.conf in root mode and replace
LogLevel warn
with
LogLevel debug
hpLogLevel 15
b) Restart cups using following command:
/etc/init.d/cups
This defect is fixed in HPLIP version 3.11.5. This fix should be
applicable to DJ3320 and DJ3600 tech classes. These tech classes
include following devices.
HP PSC 1100 Series
HP PSC 1200 Series
HP Deskjet d1300 Series
HP Deskjet d1400 Series
HP Deskjet d1500 Series
