Installing CloudMonkey with a working pip on Ubuntu 14.04 installed with
python-pip breaks it with the same message.
How to reproduce
- fresh and working python-pip installed
- pip install cloudmonkey
- pip instal --upgrade cloudmonkey
Effectively pip install by itself a request module
It seems to have changed:
*) logout, shutdown and restart work
*) suspend and hibernate do nothing - only the window disappears as if had

To get the card reader working I have used both so far:
libccid *and* the Kobil-Driver together. (I need a libct.so for Hibiscus from

Another solution on non-LTS 64bit
It seems Migros-Bank and Kobil relies on LTS versions.
My favourite solution is: virtualbox.
1. Make sure, dkms is installed
2. Install virtualbox (also availabe directly from the virtual-box site)
3. Make shure you're member of the 'vboxusers'-group

This is because when using project-x mythburn.py parses the logfile of

doing the following:
1. System-Administration-Software Sources
2. Click on the Updates tab
3. Check Proposed updates (karmic-proposed)
