graphical desktop is stopping after selecting an user and typing (the
corect) password.

I can confirm, too - isn't related to a specific hardware
My system-data: i386, startup without any error-messages, no keyboard-
activity related to gdm-login (changing to console 1-6 possible), no
mouse-movements after the login-screen appears.

I guess - no bug but intended to be a feature.
Try 'about:config' and search for 'fullscreen' and set
'browser.fullscreen.autohide' to 'false'
If this do not solves your problem - give more information or make a
screenshot(s).

I can confirme these effect - it's triggered by today updates of the
packages:
