1) Did anyone else have the problem that the fixes did not work for a
non-admin account? (even when permissions temporarily changed to admin
to apply the fixes). The only solution was to create a new user account,
for which the fixes already applied worked fine. (i.e. they

I am still thinking of switching back to alsa due to the much better audio

One more point: The Ubuntu teamers are working very hard to fix any
bugs, so this problem might disappear very quickly as irt did with me by
the regular updates provided automatically. My audio system works fine now.

but had to switch back to 7.10 cause of these problems meanwhile, so I

Can't reproduce bug with Live CD of hardy alpha, even not when
installing ubuntustudio on it. Seems to be fixed.

Tried with the hardy beta live cd (before I worked with Hardy alpha
Ubuntustudio) and now it works even with 3 beta 4. Cannot do other
testing, because I had to switch back to 7.10 due to work.

One more point: The Ubuntu teamers are working very hard to fix any
bugs, so this problem might disappear very quickly as irt did with me by

There are so many excellent functions and programs provided by the
ubuntu opensource movement and one has full control and literally no
virus problems and its always and fast getting better and even more
