The above syslog is from /var/log/syslog on the installed system. I
don't have /var/log/installer/syslog and I'm not running the live
installer. I also don't have /var/log/partman. I didn't touch any of the
log files. If you need anything else please let me know. I could
probably get the installer

while editing a python file (.py) I set the the indent to 4 spaces.
After editing, I saved it (ctrl+s). Immediatly the indenting option went

Hopefully there will be a package before jaunty releases.. I really hate
compiling the r5u87x drivers myself (especially since I don't do any
development on this machine) and installing build-essential/libusb dev is just
extra bloat for the non developer[box]..

So it turns out in the daily build 20081017, the tilt wheel works, but... the
directions are reversed :D
So when I move it to the left, it actually scrolls to the right and when I do
it to the right, it scrolls to the left, which is kind of annoying :P hope you
can fix this for the release!! I a

The mouse is a Logitech LX3. It is detected and works. The only thing wrong is
that the tilt wheel doesn't work at all. It should be used for horizontal
scrolling but doesn't do anything.

I can confirm this bug in 8.04 release candidate on my VAIO vgn-fe880e
laptop! I hope this gets fixed, my installation will only work after a
couple of retries. I just keep rebooting till it works, and that works,

After the install, it asked me if I would like to restart, I clicked ok.
The screen went blank, there were some funny graphics and the computer
completely froze. I had to shut it down manually to make it restart. The
installation went fine though, and it installed correctly.
