Keeping this alive... Hopefully there will be a package before jaunty releases.. I really hate compiling the r5u87x drivers myself (especially since I don't do any development on this machine) and installing build-essential/libusb dev is just extra bloat for the non developer[box].. I might take a look at it when I have some free time (fingers crossed). having a package for this would be a lot more beneficial while the udev kinks are being worked out.
