Currently the AppArmor profile for strongswan prevents vpn connections that use
ipsec mode config from adding dns settings the client gets from the vpn gateway
to the /etc/resolv.conf.
This is because it has the settings for resolving but this is only readonly. It
is missin
Annother theory: the snap stores profiles in
$HOME/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla. Probably until 21.10 and since they changed
to ff snap first time this was a symlink to $HOME/.mozilla.
Now the install of the new ff snap in 22.04 replaced this symlink by a phsyical
directory. So it had no profile
Ran into this too. I could resolve it by deleting the firefox snap folder as
descibed above and afterwarts start firefox again.
Thus this was on a plain install of lubuntu 21.10 that never had any firefox
packages installed except from the ones shipped with 21.10.

Since installing Ubuntu Oneiric I experience the following: I use avr910
type programmers wich are connected via usb. These have an usb2serial
bridge onboard which uses the cp210x driver in Linux. This worked fine
in Natty but in Oneiric it doesn't. If I plug in the device the
I agree, I *never* use the numpad for its cursor keys. It's a numpad
after all. And seeing that warning I always first think capslock is on.
BTW: Now it seems that also lightDM, ssh-add and gpg-agent seem to be
affected by this, which becomes really annoying (but also possibly
simpler to fix, sinc
I *am* using 11.04, I modified ~/.config/monitors.xml back in May, but
it didn't work once *since* then.

The best workaround i found so far is to just use xfce4-power-manager
instead of gnome-power-manager. There's no flickering and power saving
features are working as far as i can tell. Not sure about suspending and
hibernating, though.

I can confirm the black desktop (I haven't tried fullscreen mode yet).
However I have no idea where the problem might be. Strange thing is, the
desktop icons, although invisible, are still there and clickable (if you
happen to find one by chance).

kubuntu x64 9.04 freezes after some hour of use. With the first install, it
freezed after 1-2 minutes, but after downgrading the nvidia display driver from
180 to 173 it is better, but still annoying...
The 'normal' ubuntu did not do that.
