previous Acer laptop ...)?

The following appears in the terminal. What is going on here? Why is
access needed to my Launchpad account? At this stage I declined my
permission. Please advise.
Thank you.

I have been advised to post this problem as a bug. Having used Ubuntu
12.04 for several years, I recently purchased a new laptop, an Acer

Thanks for you response, but it seems I also need a report number.

HOLD IT! Another regression in the name of 'improvement'? I've used
power saving HIBERNATE for YEARS in Ubuntu without any problems. This is
the sort of smug action that alienates potential users keen to migrate
from Windows, where hibernate works just fine. I'm currently sticking
with 12.04,

When I try to load Ubuntu 10.04 as a dual boot, when I reach the PARTITION

I now see a lot of people having the same problem with their system
clock with Karmic...and I now find that when I re-boot, the proper time
appears. But then the clock gradually loses time ...
When do we have a fix for this???

Hi Pedro:
I waited a few days before responding to this. The reason? Well
After more than week of running slow, the system time started
functioning at the CORRECT time!
In the interim I had installed the usual security updates...

Hi Pedro:
Thanks for the prompt response.
The clock is question appears to set system time.
Here is a desktop screenshot, as requested, with the calendar up:
The actual time when this was taken was 12.35.
The clock loses several hours per day. This has only happened recently.

I've been using Karmic for the past few months and haven't had any
problems, until now: the clock is running slow i.e. loses several hours

I've found a simple fix for this in Karmic Ubuntu 9.10 - Touchfreeze is
in the Synaptic Package Manager. Once installed, it allows you to switch
the touchpad on and off while typing - and if you're using a mouse,
there's then no problems either ...
