I just realised that even with the xorg.conf only resolution 1024x768
seems to work ok, anything else is miscalculated and there is workspace

Everything works fine.
Without any xorg.conf the resolution is not detected correctly so most
of the desktop
With the latest driver from trunk it does not work. I will also try the
patches you sent.

With latest KDE in karmic I have the same problem with only one computer
that has a hig resolution (1920x1080), all others (up to 1680x1050) work

I have the same problem here. After every boot Iget the same error:
" last mount is in the future ", "An automatic file system check (fsck)
of the root file system failed".
It allways happens only for the root partition and always the difference

The same problems exists for other encodings too! I have this problem
with greek file names, which cannot be extracted at all, but file-roller
extracts them even though it does create file with weird names.
