I confirm this bug too, with wmp54g v4.1 card. Network-Manager doesn't
reconnect correctly to my wireless network when opening my computer, I
always need to manually connect at each boot and sometime it fails to
connect.
With dmesg, I get a lot of this :

I can tell, by reading the forums, that wmp54g ver 4.0 and 4.1 support
was not a problem with Ubuntu 6.10. I definetly hope the driver gets
fixed with the new version coming out these days.

I can confirm that this problem affects gutsy as of 1/10/07. This is an
rt61 chipset card, so this should have been solved following the
introduction of rt61pci and rt2x00pci kernel modules. However the
problem persists, regardless of encryption type. The various methods
suggested on ubuntuforums f
