Actual libxine in hardy heron is 1.1.10 (package 1.1.10.1-2ubuntu1) and
I can`t reproduce the problem any more, so I set this to fix released.
Please feel free to reopen the bug, if this issue still occurs for you
on an up-to-date hardy heron.

this bug is still being a PITA in gutsy tribe 5. The worst part of this
is that I reported this bug several years ago and it was fixed in the
one before feisty, then it popped back up again. I think the actual bug
is in xine (atleast it was when this was broken several years ago).

the directory has the # character, the videos inside it wont play.

I can confirm this is still happening in Feisty, running Kaffeine 0.8.5.
At first I thought the videos were corrupted and re-downloaded them,
same result. Then I noticed that the only files that wouldn't play had
"#" in them. Removed the #, the files played. Contrary to the initial
bug report thoug
