Its no problem for me. I am currently using 3.7rc1 for quantal and it
works without problems. The bug exists for previous versions of the
kernel. Other users that have the same problem currently can easily
install that kernel version. Thanks for the help!

I just installed the raring kernel on my 12.10 quantal setup. The
brightness works on that kernel perfectly but I lost wireless
connectivity through the network manager. I have no problem if this is a
configuration problem and there is a network incompatibility with raring
kernels and quantal distr

the easiest would be to test for this in a Raring live environment via
