I've forgotten to post that I've already solve the problem. It wasn't a
kernel issue because this problem also occurs in Ms Windows too (less
frequently in WinXP, but in others versions more often)
I've solved the problem changing the hard disks. But eventually HITACHI
released a hard disk

I have a Dell Precision 690, and I have the same problem.
The computer freeze very frequently, so it's impossible to work with linux.
I'd really appreciate if you increase the importance of this bug.
