Same problem. Cannot install Ubuntu Xubuntu or Lubuntu i386 guest on VirtualBox
4.2.10 using Windows 8 host.
I think they're all running Ubiquity 2.14.6.

Furthermore I'm successfully running Ubuntu 12.10 and I was successfully
running 12.04 on a virtual machine, both of which I installed through
the graphical installer without a hitch.

I assume it launches it-self automatically when the crash happens and
collects the information about my system and launches a browser to send
the report to launchpad. That is the course which I have followed.
I tried the beta 2 version of Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Lubuntu 13.04. The
