correctly but "sudo modprobe rtbth" doesn't show anything when I run it
and Bluetooth still isn't working.

The link in the OP refers indeed to the RT3290 bluetooth driver (and
WiFi driver) that should in theory compile on Ubuntu 12.04. It needs
however some modifications in order to compile on the more recent
kernels.
