I'm still getting errors with this. I'm running on 13.10 and the brightness keys are working, but the shortcuts for fn+f9,f10,f11,f12 aren't showing up or doing anything al all. ive tried the apci replacement for grub like most posts suggest on other threads but nothing is working for me. -- You

The patch I applied to gnome-settings-daemon in the gnome3-next ppa, is not required on Saucy (gnome-shell 3.8). Whatever is happening on Saucy is a different bug. Martin, or anyone else still having issues on Saucy (with no PPA's) can you please file a new bug using `ubuntu-bug gnome-settings-dae
