I've got it fixed, it was the package version of vmci.
I'm gonna put the proposal together (and submit it) on Thursday. I want
to try out something out with shared folders. They do automount now, it
just needs /mnt/hgfs created.

I prefer the open-vm-tools too. I use both versions on my Scratch
machine: open-vm-tools for the modules and the proprietary package for
everything else.
In my time maintaining this package, I've never had this much trouble
with this package during a cycle.

You're right, it's Fusion 6.0.1
If you tell me I'm better off using VMWare Tools I'll do that. I'd just
prefer the open-vm-tools. If've been happy with them so far.
