Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue

It sounds like you are experiencing something related to my issue, but I
don't think it's exactly the same. For one thing, the actual volume does
change for me. It's just that it only will go up or down by 11% from
wherever the slider happened to be. And for another, the mute function
works
The same behavior is duplicated on media keyboards as well.
I have a Logitech mx5000 keyboard, and the volume slider behaves exactly as you
describe.
The volume OSD changes from 0% to 11% and back, but the actual volume doesn't
change.
