As of xenial, "powerpc-utils" is a metapackage that pulls in the correct
platform deps (pmac-utils and powerpc-ibm-utils on big-endian, just
powerpc-ibm-utils on little-endian)

minimal depends on both, actually, and grub has a valid reason for using
powerpc-utils' version of ofpath, IIRC, though we can and should fix
that and move the dependency over to using ppc-ibm-utils instead, even
on Mac platforms. Then we'd ship both on powerpc/ppc64, and only the
ibm utils on

Correct. I would personally think that keeping only powerpc-ibm-utils
is the better. Even better to rename it to powerpc-utils, after it is
the only one.

taking over the powerpc-utils package name, so we really should be
making one change or the other.
