I've the same problem describe above.
In my case, the pre-install scripts fails (segfault) during linux-
image-2.16.22-14-generic_2.16.22-14.47_i386.deb upgrade.
Please find my '/var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log' file in attachment.

Same here, and there's libcegui-mk2-dev package being reoffered for upgrade
every time I start adept updater.
