I have a similar problem. But I noticed that while
Icons/Nautilus/Wallpaper were oversaturated, videos played with
mplayer/totem/vlc were not.

solved in debian: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-

Hi, the color problem have been solved of mini-PC, what I did is:
-
1. Get the latest intel GM965 driver source code xf86-video-intel from:
http://intellinuxgraphics.org/download.html
2. modify RGB parameters in
I have a aopen MP965DR miniPC, I've update the xserver-xorg-video-intel
to the latest, then it can show on the TV through s-video, but the color
is also seem too bright, indeed I think it not bright, it seems some
color have lost(I try to set the depth to 24 in xorg.conf, but still not
work).

Let us know whether that works or not for you.

In hardy my svideo out is not working at all on the 1420n. I am
wondering if I am the only one having this problem?

Toby, I'm having the same problem. I try also with Hardy (Ubuntu
8.04_alfa 6_i386 Desktop: kernel 2.6.22-14, X.Org X Server 1.4.0.90,
intel_drv 2.2.1 ) and my svideo tvout stops working: no image at all ,
only a dark TV screen.
