Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a
duplicate of bug 158855, so it is being marked as such. Please look
Alt+Escape is probably already bound for you, and this binding will
probably take precedence. Are Ctrl+Escape and Shift+Escape also bound?

If Alt+Escape (or Control+ or Shift+) is already bound, then it's not
listed in the Keyboard Shortcuts application (which also typically
prevents you from binding multiple actions to the same shortcut), and
it's not bound to a visible action---nothing seems to occurs when I
press any of these
the normal option is running compiz, reassigning the bug
