I'm thinking bug 784055 is a large part of the problem here. And I am guessing that if you follow the instructions in comment #2 then you might have experienced bug 1880405 which still randomly affects Ubuntu 20.04. If no further information is added here then this bug will close automatically aft

hi, thanks for caring, re 1. yeah, that's right, I got only the 3 default extensions installed re 2. and 3. I think I cannot do this anymore, cuz the problem suddenly disappeared when I reset the "Tweaks" setting to default. So, I reckon, it got something to do with "unlucky" and/or compromised T

Thanks for the bug report. 1. It looks like you don't have any custom extensions installed, is that correct? You can check using the app called 'Extensions' where there should be only 3 default extensions listed. 2. Next time the problem is happening, please open a Terminal and run: journalct
