Found the culprit.
The schemas are correctly installed in
/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.shell.extensions.ding.gschema.xml
but I also have a previous config in
~/.local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.shell.extensions.ding.gschema.xml
Simply deleting ~/.local/share/glib-2.0/schemas solv
Same issue here. This is the detailed error information when I open the
settings of the extension:

But the deb includes the schemas, could you share the exact error you
got and install the current version of the deb and verify if the schemas
is still missing for you?

had the same error. Turns out it was due to that 'schemas' folder was
not packed into the deb. The extension failed to initialize because some
keys were not defined. You will be able to see the detailed error
information if you try to open the setting of the extension. A simple
workaround is: copy

script ./local_install.sh
