I think we're dealing with two different bugs here. The first one involving libxcb (the bug that this report actually is about) seems to be fixed after libxcb reverted to sloppy locking by default. However, the crash that Sami Dalouche reported occurs on my machine too. As a matter of fact, all

I'm quite sure it's a hardy problem, because I tested it on a machine with gutsy upgraded to hardy. On gutsy eclipse 3.3 and 3.2 from repository worked, and I can install too intelliJ and netbeans. On hardy, same installation of eclipse 3.3 doesn't work and 3.2 from repository same problems. I
