I ran into the issue with hardy i386, it wasn't the beta. I then ran it with
sudo
that fixed the problem for me.
at first i would have keyboard and mouse locking up, and i have a crossover

I have run into this same issue with Hardy (Beta) i386. Running
'strace' on the process, every freeze coincides with the message:
read(3, 0x80b6764, 40996) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)

I'm still having issues on Hardy Beta. About every 30 seconds mouse and
keyboard freeze up. =(

Not sure what has changed (quite a bit actually) but yesterday 3/13/08
after applying all the updates, my Synergy client is working well.

So I tried the upgrade to hardy, and had this happen (noted above).
Today I got fed up with it finally, and just decided to do a completely
fresh install with no cruft leftovers. ARGH! Nope, it's still
happening, but at least not as often. As I try to think through the
logic of what is happening
Same here on i386 hardy, updated today. Acting as a client to a synergy
server running on Windows XP.

Also happening for me. I've tried everything, reconfigure the package,
remove, reinstall, etc... Nothing seems to be fixing this so far.
Perhaps this is completely unrelated to synergy? I'd have to imagine
since it works everywhere else with no problems, (gutsy included).

working a bajillion times better... still some hiccups every now and
then... but definitely tolerable.

Also happens in the standard i386 build. Renders the whole package
useless. Tried to recompile it, or swap it out with the gutsy build, but
it does not make any difference in behaviour, suggesting the networking
hiccup comes form somewhere else.
