OK, about that playlist being pupulated. the original amarok.desktop file uses Exec=amarok %U Which will populate the playlist I created a new amarok-player.desktop and gave it the proper mime type. It showed up in Nautilus and I selected it. I used Exec=amarok and still the playlist got

I would like to confirm that I am having the same problem, and unlike Nico, changing the amarok.desktop file entry did not resolve the issue for me. I still get the playlist populating when I connect an ipod. It takes 5-10 minutes to load the playlist causing amarok to lock up for the first 30
