The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the

Well the bad news, dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg has given releif to the hang
with change from fglrx to vesa
My eamchines is a AMD 64 machine same as original report however this is under
Kbuntu.

On my MacBook when I want to shutdown gnome-session don't finish correctly and
X goes back to the gdm login screen .
