Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that

the workspace switcher are fine when compiz is turned off.

I found an old screenshot of mine on breezy and you can see how the
colours of the workspace switcher have evolved. I think the way breezy
used to display it is way clearer and should be reverted to. (I don't
know about in-between Ubuntu releases).

I agree. Apparently the only clue I get is that the active window has a
white center instead of an orange one. But if the window is small, that
amounts to nothing (see enclosed). Furthermore, the indication doesn't
change until after I've stopped switching (at least with a compiz
desktop cube).

I think it's too late to do anything about this -
HardyArtworkFinalDeadline was passed on March 13th, and I think theme
colors count. You can use the gnome-color-chooser, I think it's in the
hardy universe repo now, to modify this if you want.
