I don't see much action regarding RDP support in Vinagre. I think this
bug should be marked invalid at least until
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503456 is resolved.

Vinagre support for RDP was supposed to be in 2.24 of Gnome I think.
According to the Gnome roadmap it should come in 2.26.

The above is true (that Vinagre has less protocol functionality than
TSClient), it's also true that it seems slower and less stable (even
moreso when running "tightvnc", rather than "vnc4viewer"). On top of
all this, it also has no visible option for overloading keypresses in a
"keygrab-like" beha
This bug is clearly wrong. Vinagre is a VNC client only.
tsclient is able to connect (via external applications) to VNC, RDP and
RDPv5, though it seems to be better suited to RDP (Remote Desktop)
connections.
If anything, Vinagre is the redundant one.

I have just tried and cannot connect to a Windows machine (terminal
services) using vinagre which I think is expected due to vinagre being a
VNC client.
However I can see confusion happening, because nowadays Windows refers
to 'Terminal Services' as 'Remote Desktop'.
In Ubuntu 8.04 Beta 1, vinagr
then if vinagre does not provide sufficient features to replace
tsclient, this should be invalid I guess (even though I hate to see
duplication)

This bug is completely wrong. vinagre is a VNC client, and we lose more
than that if tsclient is removed. So please consider it carefully before
aproving.

what is rdesktop? is it the windows remote desktop thingy (that locks
the user out so he can't see what you are doing? :)
if yes I think vinagre does not support it, as it is titled as a vnc
client (http://www.gnome.org/projects/vinagre/) but maybe they would be
willing to have rdp too.

What about rdesktop, does vinagre deal with it, as tsclient does ?
