For me, I haven't touched track in 2+ years because it never really
worked. I assumed it was dead. Now we have zeitgeist and zeitgeist-
fts fwiw. If it were me, I'd remove it from the software center. I
know its not dead, but its barely breathing:
I can confirm this bug too: indexing 0/0 mailboxes. I've upgraded to
8.10 from 8.04.

I confirm this bug on Intrepid, clean install, not upgrade. By re-
indexing and restarting the computer I eventually got tracker to do the
initial indexing. However, after indexing was complete I found some
sub-folders which should be indexed were not - search results from those
folders don't
I should mention that I am indexing a mounted NTFS partition, don't know
if that makes any difference.

I can confirm this as well on Intrepid. Also have noticed when this
happens the likelihood of search results not showing up if pretty high.

This bug is still present in 8.10 and I'm not getting all of my search
results, possibly because it's not indexing as it's stuck waiting. It
says Tracker : Indexing 0/0 mailboxes when I put the cursor over the
tray icon.

I believe that it is no upgraded corrupt index from Gutsy because i.) Tracker
worked all right just after I graded up from Hardy, and ii.) this error
persisted even after I completely de-installed Tracker and re-installed it.
As you requested, I re-indexed via the Tracker applet.
