Today I installed Ubuntu 9.04 Beta. The new usplash is still corrupted. When booting from a Live-CD the boot screen looks good, but after installing it's corrupted. I found a workaround to properly display the boot screen: 1) Change the resolution in /etc/usplash.conf to 1024x768 2) Add vga=791 to

I haven't found a fix, but I found out the corruption is different for different resolutions. I did the following: I edited /boot/grub/menu.lst by adding "vga=ask" to the kernel line. Now GRUB asks you which resolution to use for the splash screen. I tried several resolutions. As far as I can re
